User Experience Lead, Advanced Technology at Wolters Kluwer

Product design for business software.

  • Healthcare, accounting & legal.
  • Enterprise environments.
  • High-stakes workflows.
  • Artificial intelligence embedded.

I design digital products for teams working with healthcare, AI, compliance, professional services, and expert workflows. My work combines product strategy, interaction design, UX leadership, and a frontend-aware eye for execution.

Approach

Connect business strategy to the work people actually do, then validate the path forward early.

I'm a business-minded product designer with a background in project management. Product ownership has always been part of my job, even without the title. I help decide where a product should go, then design, and increasingly build, the path to get there.

Strategy

Vision, strategy, OKRs, and business requirements, so design decisions stay tied to the outcomes that matter.

Design

Start with the pain behind the work, understand how it happens today, shape the flow, and validate early.

Delivery

Planning, priorities, and the handover to engineering, with AI to move from idea to working software fast.

About

A generalist by design: broad roots, one focus on people.

I bring more than 20 years of experience to my work. My foundation combines university studies in communication and design with an early career in frontend development. I moved through project management and found my long-term place in product and UX design. What ties those moves together is a relentless curiosity to try new things. That path shaped how I work: I care about the system, the people using it, the team building it, and the small interface details where trust is either won or lost.

My practice is grounded in theory. Human-computer interaction and user-centred design give me the foundations: how people perceive, decide, and act, and why involving them early prevents expensive mistakes. Goal-directed design, developed by Alan Cooper, who introduced the persona, shapes how I frame problems: start from what people are trying to achieve, not from the features a system could offer.

These ideas overlap closely with business analysis and outcome-driven product management, as described in Melissa Perri’s Escaping the Build Trap. All three ask the same questions from a different angle: what outcome are we creating, and for whom? Combining them lets me work naturally alongside analysts, product managers, and engineers.

In practice, I'm pragmatic: I go for whatever removes the most uncertainty right now, whether that's a conversation, a prototype, or a test.

I currently work as User Experience Lead within the Advanced Technology organisation inside Wolters Kluwer, a global provider of expert information, software, and services for professionals in healthcare, tax and accounting, legal, and compliance.
